Course Description:
This course covers fire prevention and fire fighting training for all seafarers in any capacity wishing to pursue a career at sea in accordance to the competencies as described in the STCW and SAMSA Codes respectively.

Prerequisites:
Medically fit for sea
Course Content:
- Minimise the risk of fire and maintain a state of readiness to respond to any emergency situations involving fire
- Fight and extinguish fires
- Control fire fighting operations onboard a ship
- Organise and train fire parties
- Investigate and compile reports on incidents involving shipboard fires
- Inspect and service fire-detection/suppression systems and fire fighting equipment
